Curves

This chair design was hand drawn and developed. I explored curvature using a method of steam bending to create the shapes seen in the chair. The fabrication of this chair exposed me to a lot of woodworking skills, including using a table saw, a joiner, a planer, and many hand tools to enhance the shape of the legs and rails. From each view, you can experience the curvature of the chair in different ways. The seat is fabric to keep the focus on the curved rails and thin, curved lines instead of a planar seat.
