This project was a material explorations and precedent for the “Underwater” project. The first series is a collection of plaster models poured through nylon, stretchy fabric to create curvature depending on weight and amount poured into the mold. The second model depicted in the photographs is a laser cut exploration of double curvature, representing vaults through the use of ribbed strips. The angled wooden partitions signify the end points of the vaults. These models show how spaces can be formed from conceptual models and ideas.
